Our Story

How it all started...

Mentor Baptist Church was founded in 1904 to serve the bustling river community in Mentor, Kentucky.  Families have been gathering since then to grow closer to God, closer to one another, and impact the world around us.  Mentor built a new facility in 2004 beginning a new chapter in ministry.

Today, Mentor serves a diverse mix of families, children, youth, and seniors.  We approach every opportunity seeking relationship first.  Through relationship we can share our own God story of faith and redemption.

Expanding the vision...

Mentor is committed to reaching the world through service.  You can find us investing in local schools, feeding those who hunger, lending a hand, and being a shoulder to lean on.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. "  -- Acts 1:8

Where we are headed...

Jesus was found where people needed Him most.  He went to the hungry, sick, and desperate.  He comforted the grieving.  He cared for widows and orphans.  He wiped away tears.  He comforted.  He provided hope, healing, and a new beginning in faith.

We will go an do likewise...
